Promo Banner



The following steps can be done by going to Design › Edit Theme › General › Header › Promo Banner in your eCom back office.

Show or disable the promo banner



To activate or deactivate the promo banner, simply turn on or off the switch in the location shown above. Here you will also be able to edit the following fields:
  • Background color
  • Promo color
  • Promo title
  • Promo URL (optional) – use if you would like the banner to link to another page, product or collection
  • Deadline (optional) – format should be YYYY-MM-DD
  • Promo subtext


Using the countdown timer



Create urgency and raise conversions by displaying a countdown timer for your promotions. Enter the deadline date under the Promo deadline setting. The date needs to be entered in the format YYYY-MM-DD.



The timer will end at 12:00am (00:00) on the day you enter into the date field.

Ex: If your sale ends at 11:59pm (23:59) on January 24, 2019, then enter 2019-01-25.

Automatic takedown

A great feature of this countdown timer is that when the time runs out, the banner will automatically be hidden on your site. You don’t have to worry about turning it off in the middle of the night!
