The following steps can be done by going to Design › Edit Theme › General › Advanced › About & Locations in your eCom back office.
The custom about page has 3 different sections, all of which can be displayed/hidden by toggling each setting under Design › Theme Settings › 14. About & Locations:
- About content
- Locations & custom map
- Text blocks (these are going to be the same as the homepage text blocks).
The Map backup image is what will display if you the custom Google map turned OFF.
Recommended size: 1200 x 1200px
Adding locations
The Austin theme allows you to add up to 5 locations for your brick and mortar stores. For each location, you can enter:
- A location title: a unique way to describe that location (e.g. street name or city name)
- Address (line 1)
- Address (line 2): optional
- City and State
- Zip code
- Location URL
- Location Latitude / Longitude
Finding Your Location URL
This is the URL to the location Google Maps, and provides a link for people to quickly pull up navigation to that location on their device. To find this URL, go to
maps.google.com and type in the address of your store. This should pull up your location on the map.
Now copy the full URL shown at the top of your internet browser (shown above). Open up any text editor and paste this URL. You will also pull the latitude and longitude values from the URL, which is why we recommend this step.
This URL should be pasted into the Location URL field in the Theme Settings. Repeat this process for each of your store locations.
Finding Latitude and Longitude
Go back to your text editor where you pasted the location URL. In the URL, find the numerical values that look like this.
These two numbers represent Latitude and Longitude (in that order) of your location. Copy each from your URL and paste into the appropriate field in Theme Settings.
